An introduction to French accents for younger children . Possibly useful for year 3 children. Focuses on the names of the 5 accents, which letters they are found on and how to write them. There are examples of some common words which have accents. Also included is a grid to fill to practise writing a selection of letters with a range of accents. Follow on worksheets gives sentences with missing accents for the children to find. There is an exercise to replace 17 missing accents with simple vocabulary. There is also an exercise to find 27 missing accents using more challenging vocabulary. Both of these exercises include completed TC’s. Gap fill graduated 'combien de... and il y a ...' worksheet for KS2. This worksheet is to introduce pupils to the expression &'combien de&'; and 'il y a&' The images chosen are black and white and therefore will photocopy clearly. Children can be given instructions of what colour to colour the different objects. There is plenty of space for pupils to write in the missing words.
